Hey There

I'm Deb and I hold an Ipet Network Level 3 certificate in dog grooming.
My journey started during lockdown in 2020 when my partner and I welcomed our cheeky Cockapoo, Fozzy.
With his love for mud and mischief, I soon found myself washing and brushing him between grooms — and that’s when my passion for grooming began.

A bit of background...
After 34 years as an office manager in Finance, I knew I needed a change...
In January 2025, I swapped spreadsheets for scissors and joined a dog grooming academy. It was a huge leap, but as a lifelong dog lover, I couldn’t have been happier.

While training, I built Fozzy’s Groom Room from scratch in a summerhouse at home. Now it’s my little haven — and a calm, safe space for the dogs I care for.

Our approach
At Fozzy’s Groom Room, it’s never “just a trim & tidy.” I offer a one-to-one, peaceful grooming experience where every dog gets my full patience, care, and plenty of cuddles along the way. The salon overlooks a beautiful garden with water features, creating a tranquil environment that helps even the most nervous pups feel at ease.

Every dog is unique, so I take time to read their body language and adjust my approach to suit their needs — whether that means working slowly, offering extra reassurance, or simply giving them space to relax.

Equally, I know how important it is to listen to owners. Every family has their own preferences and expectations when it comes to their dogs' coat and style. I always take the time to communicate clearly, discuss what works best for both the dog and the owner, and answer any questions along the way.

For me, grooming is more than a job — it’s a joy. I feel incredibly lucky to spend each day with dogs and to give them the calm, positive experience they deserve.
